Airplanes! I'm the same way! I totally freak out, but totally inside because the last three times I've flown, I've flown with my kids. Can't let them have irrational fears like me, right? As for #2 -- I am RIGHT THERE with you -- and I live in SoCalifornia....and often feel every little shake. We just had a minor earthquake about 2am a few days back, and I woke up for it and then worried the rest of the night that another would come. And -- at least for me -- the irrational fear also includes airplanes. And I think you are TOTALLY right, (grins), it is a control thing.
